WHO IS MBV?
Mae B. Villarosa is a tax attorney based in Stamford, Connecticut. Before founding MBV & Co., she spent years handling IRS audits and tax cases — and quickly realized that most financial headaches start with messy books.
For the past four years, Mae has represented taxpayers before the IRS, gaining first-hand insight into how poor bookkeeping can lead to unnecessary tax exposure, missed deductions, complicated audits, and even criminal tax cases.
Many clients came in without proper records, and many bookkeepers, though well-intentioned, lacked the technical and tax foundation to do the job right. The result? Misclassified income, overstated liabilities, and harder cases for CPAs and tax attorneys to defend.
